Don't PRAY because you need something, PRAY because you have so much to be THANKFUL for!!!!!

Mom had a birthday this week.  76 Wow! it's so hard to believe she is that age.  40 seemed so old when I was a teen and now I am well past 40.
Life slows you down and the body really slows you down at 76.  But remembering my mom all these years being so faithful to show us kids that God is worth serving and being faithful and conisistent is what the christian life is all about.   She still sings in the choir, is a name taker at the altar and still teaching sunday school.  Can't help but think of the verse in Proverbs 31:28   Her children arise up, and call her blessed...God is good!!! Thanks mom for being the best role model for me and so many others.  Love ya!!!!!

More Iron

Rg and I headed to Tyler this morning for another iron infusion.  Levels were low last week and are trying to give him iron closer together to see if we can build his bank up ( that is what doc says) he doesn't have enough in reserved to sustain him.  It's always sobering to seat in a room with others getting chemo treatments.   God sure is good and someone always has it worse off than we do.  Giving him all the credit !!
Sorry , he is a Boston fan today.  Loves any team usually whoever is winning.  Lol.
Ryan Pleger sent him the shirt while he was on his honeymoon.  Rg loves sports!!!

Light of the World

John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
We are always a light as a Christian for those in the world we can never go on vacation because of those who may not see and need Christ in our path.  Praying for a great weekend for The Lord.

Theres No Place Like Home

Our annual Ladies banquet was Thursday  evening May 8th and we had a great turn out of  162 little ladies despite the stormy weather.
We had a time of fellowship, great food, games and a devotion from myself.  I spoke on Put Your Heart in everything you do. If your hearts not in it it's so hard to stay encouraged and keep going for our families and the Lord.
We have great ladies that all pitched in and helped  make the evening a delightful time.
Thank you ladies of LBT  for all you do to make your pastors wife feel special.  Your the best!!!

Girls Day Out

I had the privilege of spending a "Girls Day Out" with some old friends and ladies serving with their husbands in the ministry.    It's always great seeing old friends and catching up on life but the encouraging words of wisdom and laughs are a breath of fresh air.
We visited Flight 93 Memorial in Pennsylvania and it was sobering to see the actual sight and memorial they are building.  What those passengers did to save so many  other lives Amazes me.  God bless America!!!

A Cup of Christmas Joy

Luke 1:12 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth...

Our Pearls & Grace Ladies Christmas Party was a huge success.
Mrs. Vicky Britt was our guest speaker and what a blessings she was.  She has us singing My Cup runneth over with Joy.   And spoke on what's in your cup.
Our ladies out did themselves with decorating the tables and coming to enjoy in the night of food, fellowship, and our ornament exchange.
