Started getting ready a little bit fast on Sunday morning. Sky was darkening and the rain was coming. R.G. and I ran out the door and got to church just when it was sprinkling. But some of the others were not that fortunate. We had some pretty drowned rats in our "Christian Couples Class" sunday morning.
Praying it would stop before we all had to walk back over to the main building. It slowed down enough to get us there with just few drops of rain.
Our grandsons Blake's first Easter and Grand Bob had to make a Easter Bunny stop. What a special day! The auditorium was full many people came for salvation and many others followed the Lord in Baptism. Watching Christian grow in the Lord and know they need to take the next step is a wonderful thing to watch.
A nice surprise was to see some life long friends stop in for a visit at church and our Joy trio I sang in for years was reunited after 8 years, I think, we were able to sing in church sunday evening. So many memories flooded through my mind. We started singing back in High School and that was more than, well a few years back.
Pastor ( BoB) preached a great sermon Sunday evening. The Trial of your Faith. Made us look at scripture in a whole new way in I Peter 1:7. Have your every wonder about your Faith and literally put in on trial. I think we all realized that we have done that a time or two and come to the conclusion that the way we chose to live for our Lord was the right way. I know I sure have.
What a wonderful God we serve. So glad he sent his Son for us who Rose again for us and is Coming back again someday.
