Give Thanks

O give thanks unto the Lord; for his is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.  I Chronicles 16:34
Rg's goal was to make it to church to hear Jordan preach Wednesday night. We always have our preacher boys preach the Thursday night before Thanksgiving. R.G. made it!  He still very weak from losing about 15 pounds between the two surgeries so we drug out his wheelchair. He was worn out when he got home but that's ok.  He was able to cheer his little (BIG) brother on.  Little steps at a time. It's only been two weeks since his surgery and still has a stomach full of staples, except for the 1/2 dozen he took out with a bobby pin. lol That's R.G.
We had made different plans this year for Thanksgiving but because of R.G.'s health we decided we better cancel the plans and stay home.  We told the kids, DeAnna, Josh and Jordan to go on without us. So it was a quieter and calmer at our house this year. It has been a long road since we started back on September 23rd, so the quietness was very welcomed.
We had breakfast with the kids before they took off and turned to R.G. and ask him what he was thankful for, he said "My Family".   We are sure thankful for him more than every this year.  Remember the little things you take for granted they are some of the most precious gifts God has given us.   Always have a thankful heart.

We also had our annual pie auction tonight after church.  We had a great turn out.  The ladies out did themselves.  Thanks so very much!
